Dr David Wilmore

David Wilmore was educated at Newcastle University and formedTheatresearch,a practice specialising in the restoration of historic theatres,in 1986 and has been involved in many theatre restoration projects including the Georgian Theatre Royal, Richmond [1788],Theatre RoyalNewcastle on Tyne [1837 & 1901], Theatre Royal, Bristol [1766], Gaiety Theatre & Opera House, Isle of Man [1900], Theatre Royal, Newcastle on Tyne [1901], and the recently reopened Darlington Hippodrome[1907]. He has a PhD in the development of nineteenth century stage technology, and is a past Chairman and Fellow of theAssociation of British Theatre Technicians.
