Iain Forbester

Iain Forbester

Managing Director, Serapid Limited

Iain received a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Queen Mary College, London University in 1978 and started working life as a graduate engineer at Rolls Royce and Associates designing nuclear reactors for submarines. After 11 years he left there, and undertook a series of sales and management roles across a range of engineering companies, covering design consultancy, bulk materials handling and lift systems. In 2000 he joined the world of theatre engineering initially with Waagner-Biro and latterly with Serapid Limited where he is UK Managing Director and also Business Development Director for the Serapid Group in the Middle and Far East regions working particularly on theatre lifting and scenery moving systems.
