Jonathan Suffolk

Technical Director, National Theatre

Spanning a 30-year career in theatre, Jonathan Suffolk has worked in lighting, sound engineering and design, in the UK and internationally. In 2015, the National Theatre were granted the opportunity to stage the first Anglo-Chinese co-production, staging War Horse in Beijing. Jonathan led this ground-breaking initiative. From 2015, Jonathan spearheaded the latest technical theatre innovation, driving forward Open Access Smart Capture (OASC), using smart AR glasses to enable hearing and sight impaired audiences to attend any NT performance.
