Mark Dakin

Mark Dakin

Technical Director, Royal Opera House

Mark has worked in opera, theatre and dance companies worldwide including The Young Vic, English National Opera, Bristol Old Vic, Sydney Theatre Company, Cameron Macintosh and The Really Useful Group.

After nine years of Production Management at the National Theatre he became Head of Production in 2001, then Technical Director in 2011 leading the department through their £70m Future Capital project.

He returned to the Royal Opera House as Technical Director in 2015 when the £40m Open Up project was commencing, including refurbishing the Linbury Theatre.

Mark is on the Board of The Bush Theatre and the Bristol Old Vic.
