Nick Starr CBE

Nick Starr CBE

Co-Founder, Bridge Theatre, London

Nick Starr was Executive Director of the National Theatre 2002-2014 alongside Nicholas Hytner (NT Director 2003-15) with whom he founded London Theatre Company and then opened the new 900-seat Bridge Theatre in October 2017.

He has chaired the boards of Battersea Arts Centre (2002-2007), the Bush Theatre (2009-2014) and The Yard Theatre (2018-) and has served as a non-executive director of the Society of London Theatre and Nesta (formerly the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts). He received Tony Awards in 2012 and 2015 and was given a special Olivier Award and made CBE in 2014.
