Tim Brinkman

Tim Brinkman

Theatre Director, G Live, Guildford

Tim, from Manchester, England is the founding director of touring company Pilot Theatre Company, and went on to become Assistant Drama Director of the Arts Council of Great Britain. He oversaw the rebuilding of the Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke and in 2000 became the Director of Hall for Cornwall in Truro in the UK’s far South West. Under his leadership the theatre won many TMA awards and he was nominated as UK Theatre Manager of the Year.

Following that he spent three years at Arts Centre Melbourne in charge of all its arts activities. In Australia he managed the programme in five spaces including the record breaking presentation of War Horse in Melbourne and a ground breaking season of work by Philip Glass. He produced the reopening events for Australia's top concert hall, The Hamer Hall. Now back home he works for HQ Theatre and Hospitality, running the organisation’s flagship venue in Guildford, G Live. Tim is very active in ISPA, serving on the board, its subcommittees and Co-chairing the Planning Committees for the New York congresses in 2015 and 2016.
